1. What can you tell me about the ABTG - Alexandria sessions?
Q: Do I need any painting experience?
A: Not at all. We prefer it that way. 95% of our guest have either never painted or only painted when they were in elementary school. Check out some of their amazing creation via our FB page.
Q: Are we required to reserve seating?
A: Yes, you must reserve your seat to enjoy the journey. Please see 3a below for the related steps.
Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: Fifteen to thirty minutes would be plenty of lead-time. Please see late arrival policies under Section 4 below.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear any clothing in which you can move around in comfortably.
Q: What are essential things should I bring?
A: Your creative spirit and open mind, any receipt (i.e., invoice, voucher, certificates), and your ID if you plan to consume alcohol.
Q: Do you provide the art materials? What materials are provided? What size is the canvas?A: Yes, we provide all painting materials (e.g., brushes, aprons, palette paper, easels, cavases, and more). We use a 16 x 20 inch canvas for adults and 10x10 for kids.
Q What kind of paint do we use?
A: You will be using acrylic paint, which is water-based and washes off easily with warm water.
Q: Do we paint the image we see featured on the calendar?
A: Yes, the paintings on selected dates are what you will paint! Trust us, you can do it.
Q: When do you post the new schedule?
A: We generally post new sessions schedules between the 15th and 18th of the month prior to the sessions. Instructor and session feature painting are subject to change.
Q: Can we complete the featured paintings within one session?
A: Of course. Your masterpiece with be complete and dry within two and half to three hours.
Q: Where are sessions located and how are Experience Locations determined?
A: Based on guest requests, capacity, and location availability, we hold ABTG - Alexandria sessions at multiple venues, which you may see on the Session Calendars under each session date.
Q: Will ABTG change Experience Locations and, if so, how will ABTG inform you?
A. Yes, ABTG - Alexandria Experience Locations are subject to change amongst the ABTG - Alexandria Experience Locations above with ample, e.g, at least a two - three day email, notice before a given session.
Q: Why does your team primarily correspond via e-mail?
A: If you contact us via e-mail, you will tend to receive a quicker response 7 days a week by our friendly staff.
Q: Can I register my children for Adult Sessions?
A: We are working on it, but currently you must be 21 years of age to attend Adult Sessions. We, however, are happy to have a private event for your child's special occasion.
1b. Private Events
Q: What, if any, accommodations do you have for private events or parties (birthdays, team building exercises, showers, etc.)
A: Lots. We are happy to add a bit of creative flair to your next soiree, and you may feel free to click here for an overview and complete the questionnaire here so we may start planning and coordinating your special occasion for a minimum of 10 guests.
1c. Session Rescheduling
Q: May I reschedule a session once I register?
A: If you are a voucher holder, you may not reschedule your purchased event date or time for any reason more than one (1) time after you have submitted your reservation. If you have purchased your reservation at full value, you may reschedule your session without any restrictions.
1d. Session Transfer Requests
Q: May I transfer my seat purchase and reservation to someone else?
A: You may transfer your purchase, unless otherwise noted in righting, to anyone over the age of 21 for any reason before your session reservation date.
2. What should I know about food and beverage options, including alcohol?
Q: What is served at the locations? How many glasses of complimentary wine will I receive?
A: One complimentary glass of wine is served at the DC location, and certain VA locations. Various locations have a cash bar available. Identification will be verified to ensure that all attendees of these evening sessions are at least 21 years of age. We ask that you keep consumption to a one bottle per duo maximum.
Q: Can I purchase more wine after my complimentary drink?
A: Yes. You may also purchase other spirits, and food from the Alexandria locations.
Q: Can I purchase or pre-order food?
A: At the Alexandria locations, yes, but for all others, please contact us to discuss which.
Q: Can I bring my own food or Wine?
A: No, sorry =( ... outside food is not permitted, but again there is plenty of delicious menu items to nibble or sip on.
3. Gift card, Voucher, Premium Session or Complimentary ePass Possession & Redeemption?
3a Voucher, Complimentary ePass, or Gift Card Reservation Steps
Q: What steps should I take if I have a gift card, voucher, or complimentary epass?
A: i) visit our Alexandria - Calendar; ii) select your desired session; iii) click "Vouchers/Gift Cards/ePasses" to submit your session reservation request by a) populating all relevant fields on the related session voucher and b) inserting your ePass, voucher, gift card, PayPal or other unique number. For PayPal or ePasses, insert your Expiration Date as 120 days from the date of purchase or receipt, respectively.
Q: Can I purchase more than one gift card etc.?
A: Of course.
3b Premium versus Voucher Session or Seats
Q: Why are your sessions marked open if no voucher seats are available?
A: There are some sessions for which we limit the number or voucher holders, but we retain the session as open for premium ticket purchases. Our site will either reflect the difference, or we will inform you upon your reservation submission as to whether the voucher holder seats have filled.
3c Which Locations Accept What?
Q: Can I use my gift card, voucher, or comp pass at any location?
A: Maybe, but please check your document provisions to determine at which locations the gift card, voucher, etc. is valid.
3c Expired Voucher?
Q: Can I attend a session with my voucher after it expires or what steps should I take if it expires?
A: We strongly suggest you attend your desired session before your voucher expiration date. Upon expiration, you may only use the amount of an unused voucher as a credit toward a future ABTG session, meaning your balance would generally be a minimum of $30, which you may be purchased via:
4. Late Arrivals, Missed Session, or Cancellation?
Q: Is a missed session or 10 minute late arrival considered a cancellation?
A: Yes. We, at ABTG, understand that unforeseen events may preclude you from arriving to a session on time. As a 10 minute late arrival will significantly disrupt a session's progress, we must consider this a cancellation. In the event that you do not arrive within 10 minutes of the session's start time, your payment will be forfeited.
Q: What is the cancellation notification process?
A: We require you to provide a 72-hour cancellation notice. If you do not provide a 72-hour cancellation notice, you will forfeit your payment or gift certificate. If you provide the 72-hour cancellation notice, we will credit your existing reservation for a future session. There will be no refunds issued.

Q: What happens if we experience inclement weather prior to or during an ABTG session, for which an ABTG guest is registered?
A: We will make commercially best efforts to contact every reserved guest if we decide to cancel any session due to inclement weather. If we cancel a session due to inclement weather, you will not be charged for session. We will post all closings on the ABTG calendars and home page.
